You had seen the news when John Watson had died. The famous companion and boyfriend of Sherlock Holmes had been mourned by most everyone. After his death, Sherlock had disappeared. It was common knowledge that she was at 221b Baker Street but no one dared disturb her.
After only a few months, crime had risen in London. However, Sherlock refused to help. Chief inspector Lestrade had even asked her personally to help out a few times but had always left empty handed.
One sunny Saturday you were grocery shopping when you ran across a nice older woman. After talking to her for several minutes in line you had found out her name was Martha Hudson. She told you that you reminded her of someone she used to know. When you’d asked her who, she had quickly changed the subject, although you didn’t miss the sadness in her eyes.
You offered to walk her home and help carry her bags since you saw she was trying to balance several grocery bags at a time.
When you got to her place you realized where you were. The door read 221b. “Come inside, there’s someone I want you to meet.”
You followed her up the stairs and slowed as you hear the sound of a violin coming from the other side of the door at the top of the stairs. She opened the door and you saw Sherlock standing by the window, playing a quick song on her violin.
She glanced momentarily in your direction before returning to the window, without missing a beat. You followed Mrs. Hudson into the kitchen and set down the bag you were carrying.
Turning towards Sherlock again you listened to the beautiful song until she came to a close. You noticed that as she played, her curly black hair bobbed to the rhythm.
“That was marvelous.” You said applauding.
She put down the violin in its case and looked past you to Mrs. Hudson. “Who is this man?”
Turned towards her and caught a smile as she responded. “This is (y/n). Why don’t you tell us who he is?”
Sighing Sherlock looked at you and you suddenly felt self-conscious as she scanned you. “Middle class and has an older sibling. I’m thinking a brother.” She circled around you as she continued. “You work as a doctor. You are single and live alone except for your small white cat. Did I get all that right?”
You stared at her flabbergasted. You’d heard stories of her amazing deduction ability but had never gotten the privilege of seeing her in action. You turned to see Mrs. Hudson grinning as she unpacked the paper bags.
“How could you possibly know all that?”
She rolled her eyes at you as if it was the most obvious thing ever. “Simple deduction. For example, small white hairs on your hand-me-down pants and scratches visible on your hands gave me both the cat and the older brother.”
“That is simply spectacular.” She glanced out of her window and you saw her groan.
“Here comes Lestrade again. I keep telling him to leave me alone.” Sure enough knocks came from the door. Mrs. Hudson opened the door and Lestrade came up the stairs and into the room.
“Sherlock, he says it’s important. Maybe you should take up the case.”
“Please Sherlock. You’re the best there is and we need your help.” Lestrade pleaded. “Just look at this.” He handed Sherlock a file. She opened it and looked through the contents.
“Looks interesting but you know I can’t help without an assistant. Just leave me be.”
“Wait, what about me? I am a doctor and if you need help I would be more than happy to.” You offered. You were hoping he would say yes since you had always wanted to work with the great Sherlock.
“Fine, let’s go take a look.”
~oOo~
Sherlock had figured out the mystery within minutes. You noticed that she had grown more upbeat since that case. It had been a murder and you knew that she especially liked to solve them.
You started to visit Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson every day. At first, you mostly talked to Mrs. Hudson. Over time though, Sherlock began to talk to you more and more. She even began to take more cases again, always asking you to go along.
Each time she solved a case, you couldn’t help but be amazed. With your amazement came another feeling, love. She was such a strong and smart woman that you were drawn to her.
You couldn’t tell if she shared your feelings though. Besides, it still seemed like she missed John too much to be with anyone else. Whenever you brought up John, she would quickly change the subject or search the paper for another murder. So, you kept your silence.
You knew that with her deduction skills, it wouldn’t be long before she caught on. You were right. At a crime scene a week later she stopped inspecting the corpse and turned to you. “Do you like me?”
You started to blush and she went back to the corpse. “It appears so.”
You stood there in silence for several minutes. “So, do you…like me too?”
She thought for several minutes. “I think so. You remind me so much of my John.”
You stopped. “So I’m just a replacement John?”
She stood and walked towards you. “Of course not. I simply said you remind me of him. I like you for you.” You kissed her gently before pulling quickly away.
“I’m sorry. We’re working and shouldn’t be doing this.”
“It’s ok, I already figured it out. The butler poisoned her.” She kissed you, letting it last longer.
You couldn’t believe this was happening. “I love you, Sherlock.”
“I love you too, (y/n)”

sick (male reader x lucifer)
Normally any hunter worth his salt wouldn’t step foot in a clinic unless they were dying but even then it was debatable however today there was an exception to be made as (Y/N)’s former archangel had managed to catch a nasty cold. (Y/N) had to admit even to himself that he’d become extremely soft towards Lucifer ever since meeting him, long story short basically Lucifer was being punished for the apocalypse thus he’d been stripped of his grace and for whatever reason (Y/N) had taken pity on him. The clinic wasn’t the best but at least there was a doctor willing to see them so (Y/N) guided a very uncomfortable loo

Supernatural: Death x Reader- Afternoon
Quiet, free afternoons didn't come by you often. No, usually afternoons were spent either working your part time job or hunting, being a hunter, but for once you were next to alone at Bobby Singer- a good friend of yours- home, just recovering from a hunt. You hummed, flipping a page in the book you were reading for pleasure before you took a sip of your coffee. Bobby was off with Sam and Dean Winchester on a hunt, leaving you to your own devices. You sighed, slightly pitying the three males- and Jody Mills, a sheriff who lived close by (if you were honest, you actually had no idea where the woman sheriff lived, but you trusted Bobby's w

Sherlock X Reader: Awaking The Vampiress |3|
The living room of 221B Baker Street was an organized mess as it always had been. Despite the various reminders and reprimands that Mrs. Hudson brought with her on her regular visits, neither one of the gentlemen living there ever had the time to clean anything up. But after Sherlock had left to find peace in the solitary confinement of his bedroom and left John to his own devices, John decided that it was a very good time for a little bit of cleaning.
John Watson had known that by agreeing to be Sherlock's companion on his misadventures that a world of things that he had not even had knowledge of existing would open up to him. What
